I admit it. I only uploaded this clip because of those big beautiful eyes.

Christmas cheer

The wagon Beck's 8 year old cousin Jenna made for him is the perfect place for a family of monkeys, a kangaroo and a little orange cat.

Daddy's little chess master

It's a little early but Jeff can't wait to teach Beck how to play chess.

Christmas kitten

Jeff gave me a kitten for Christmas. I'm so happy but I think Beck is even more thrilled. He loves playing with her and giving her lots of hugs. She's a surprisingly gentle kitten despite being squeezed with all kinds of toddler love. My new favorite thing is watching Beck get so overwhelmed with happiness that his laughter turns into screams of joy until he falls down.

The top photo is a combination of Beck's favorite things - cars driving on kittens.

So far our kitten doesn't have a name yet.

Santa Claus - 2009

2009 was a much better year for sitting on Santa's lap. Beck doesn't understand the whole Christmas/Santa thing but he knows that he likes Christmas trees, snowmen and a man called Santa.

Santa Claus - 2008

2008 was a Santa photo classic. Here's what I wrote last year.

Beck went to see Santa at the Blue Genie Art Bazaar this weekend. Unfortunately for Beck, this was not a happy occasion. He was absolutely terrified! It was so different from last year when a sweet four month old snuggled at Santa's knee. This year he would not go near Santa. So our photo, while not sweet, is at least classic. Here is poor Beck crawling away from Santa... screaming.

Merry Christmas!

Last night Beck cried out in his sleep, "Elmo! Ernie!" Ah, the dreams of a two year old.

Jeff: Who's on your socks?
Beck: SOCK MAN!
