happiness is the most annoying toy EVER

We bought Beck a Busy Ball Popper about a year ago knowing that he was too young for it but thinking he might enjoy watching the balls.  Well, this thing is LOUD.  Beck was terrified and screamed at the sight of the thing.  Every four months or so we'd take it out to see if Beck would warm up to it but, nope -- still terrified.

Until recently.

Now Beck braves the noise and is in love with his Ball Popper. He's so cute trying to catch the balls and exclaiming "uh-oh" whenever they pop onto the floor. If only they would invent a toy like this that's quiet.

Beck loves pushing his walker.  He has a funny little waddling swagger and chasing the dog is his ultimate joy, much to Admiral's chagrin.  Recently he's taken to searching for daddy's hat so he can wear it while he walks.  He bumps into things a little more often but he's oh so cute!

afternoon in Allen Park

We spent the afternoon in Allen Park today.  It's one of our favorite tucked away little places.  It feels like you're out in the woods instead of hidden in a nearby neighborhood.

Beck loved crawling through the tunnel and, of course, playing with rocks.

We went to Carina's 5th birthday party this weekend.  Our friend, Eileen, painted the kids' faces and we went home with little man Beck.  Off to search for a top hat and spats.

Beck and I met Jeff downtown for lunch after co-op today. Jeff works next door to the Children's Museum. I can't wait for us to visit together. I've been waiting for Beck to learn to walk first -- he's so close. It looks like an amazing place. Even Jeff's building has statues of little kids perched on top.

Beck has been taking a lot of walks in the neighborhood.  He's like his mom (who couldn't walk until 18 months) and still not walking on his own but he loves to motor around with his new mail cart.
